We caught up with Giulia Baggini, an Italian-born celebrity stylist and fashion PR aficionado based in Los Angeles.

Giulia first caught the attention of the fashion world as a teen with her blog, titled ‘Giulia’s Fashion Blog’. She went on to launch another blog, dubbed ‘Les Milanesi’, which won acclaim from a number of high end publications. Eventually, she realised her dream of moving to the USA and now lends her styling talent to dressing celebrity clientele. She is also the influencer department director at CLD PR.

My car of choice

It might sound funny to most, but my car of choice would be the Fiat 500. It was my very first car my parents got me when I was 18, and the feeling that the Fiat 500 gives me is greater than any sports car could ever: it feels like home, the memories I had, being carefree at 18 with my friends. Too bad they don’t produce it anymore in the US.

My favourite holiday destination

I think this goes with the saying ‘home is where the heart is’, so my favourite destination is anywhere my family is, as I don’t get to see them as often as I would. Luckily for me, they live in Italy, a beautiful country, so I would say my favourite holiday destination is my beautiful motherland Italy.

My gadget I can’t live without

I thought about this question a lot, and the answer was right in front of me this whole time: my laptop. It’s my calendar, my organiser, how I execute 90% of my work, where I edit, where I keep my photos.. I truly would not be able to live without my laptop!

My go to fashion brand

Right now, my go-to fashion brand has to be Reformation, their dresses are perfect for any occasion: you could wear then with sneakers to go to the farmers market or with high heels and a statement bag to go out for dinner. Plus, they’re responsibly made, which is something I always look for in a brand I want to support.

My airline of choice

My airline of choice would without any doubt be Swiss Air. I had the pleasure to fly with them few times, and I have to say the service is impeccable. I especially appreciated the small details that made my flight special and relaxing: when I got to my seat there was a selection of Swiss chocolates and a glass of champagne waiting for me, they also distributed Lindt chocolates when we were exiting the plane: such a nice touch!

My favourite watch brand

For this one I have no doubt: Rolex. First of all, I find their design very elegant and timeless. A Rolex is forever. Growing up I always saw my parents wearing Rolexes so I also feel emotionally attached to them. It goes without saying that my first Rolex was a gift from my mom: one of her vintage Rolexes from when she was my age, to have her with me even when I’m on the other part of the ocean!

My favourite restaurant

As you can imagine, I miss Italian food terribly, so Cecconi’s in LA is my go-to restaurant when I want to taste some real Italian cuisine. Not only the location is very central and the atmosphere is very enjoyable, but their whole menu is to die for. If you go, make sure to try their Bucatini Cacio e Pepe, so delicious and tasteful!

My guilty pleasure

I have lots of guilty pleasures, but if I had to name one it would be the Sacher cake at Cova, a very well-known patisserie in Milan. I love chocolate, so anything with chocolate I could eat all day every day, but this Sacher cake is the most delicious thing I’ve ever had and I always make sure I stop by there when I go back home in Milan.

My favourite way to give back

I love giving back, I love putting smiles on people’s faces or just do some good for the community with small acts of kindness, but my favorite way to give back is volunteering at a dog shelter. I absolutely love dogs and it breaks my heart to see those puppies being abandoned and suffer, so going there and helping out and trying to make their lives a little better really filled my heart. After that, I actually adopted a dog myself!
