“One of the biggest challenges in bringing our vision for Pathengers to fruition was how to capture the essence and spirit of a place, on an object as small as a watch,” says Guillaume Bellon, chief designer of Pathengers.
“We want our watches to become a means of virtual travel. With this in mind and during the entire creative process, we tried to achieve a design result that would fuse simplicity and personality. Each and every element of the watch was meticulously studied – the case, its coating, its shape and size. The dial and its rendering. The hands and their complexity. The strap, the material and colour. The crown and its personality. The clasp and its shape. The engravings and colors. The back case and location.”
