Utilising planar magnetic technology the OPPO PM-3 headphones promise excellent sound quality and high sensitivity along with lightweight properties providing a stress free and isolating audio experience.
OPPO PM-3 ‘s utilise a planar magnetic driver that is developed from their PM-1 headphones whilst technological breakthroughs discovered through the production of the PM-1’s including 7-layer double-side voice coil diaphragm design and FEM-optimised neodymium magnet system producing a crystal clear audio output.
Presented in a sleek Selvedge denim carry case, the OPPO PM-3’s are protected in a streamline case that won’t take up too much room in your travel bag whilst the headphones themselves feature a wood grain effect, brushed aluminum cups and durable synthetic leather used on the ear pads ; the PM-3s carry a modern yet classic design.
Comfort has clearly been a high priority for OPPO during the design phase with a padded adjustable headband and swivelling ear cups that allow a personalised fit ensuring that you almost forget that you have headphones on especially with it’s lightweight properties.
The audio experience can be adapted to your environment with the choice of two headphone cables – one 3m main cable and one 1.2m portable cable that can be used for connecting to a mobile phone, tablet or other mobile device. The ability to use a mobile friendly cable is a particularly positive aspect enabling you to not lose the ability to answer calls easily on the move whilst also removing the requirement to reduce audio quality by having to choose an alternative headphone when on the move.
The OPPO PM-3’s provide an immersive sound with an incredible noise-cancellation quality of which I think i’ll struggle to find other headphones of the same price point that can reflect this high quality. The only downside are that the ear cups are slightly larger than normal but given it’s comfort ratings and it’s audio quality, this can be easily forgotten.
OPPO PM-3s retail at £349 and are readily available from Selfridges.
