Stylist Kara Kyne talks luxe layering

By Firgas Esack   |

When there’s a nip in the air, it’s all about luxurious layers.

Stylist Kara Kyne took a break from dressing A-listers for the red carpet to create some versatile Autumnal looks – shot ethereally in the turning leaves of Epping Forest by photographer Rich Hendry.

She said: “Skirts are having a real moment in fashion but it’s just a matter of finding a style that suits your body shape.  I love this one for its unusual structure.  Burgundy is also a beautiful colour to wear and a great alternative to black or navy.  It goes with everything!

“I love Autumn for all the knitwear that hits the shops.  My favourite at the moment is &Otherstories for oversized, rich colour and unusual textures. A combination of the same colour in varying textures can achieve a great layered luxe look.

“Mustard is such a wonderful colour for autumn and not just because you match all the falling leaves…  I love how COS manages to get the shade perfect.  Their fabrics also feel soft and silky and wonderful against the skin which is important when layering so as to not feel too bulky.”
