Gone are the days of tangled wires, poor audio quality on the move and heavy headphones that emit far too much heat on the ear, the Plantronics BackBeat SENSE banish those fears way into the past.
Available in Black/Espresso (my particular favourite) and White/Tan the wireless stereo headphones are light (just 140g) and comfortable to wear thanks to an innovative design and its unique, patent-pending headband that is designed to be comfortable for 99% of head sizes. Comfort gets a big tick thanks to its pillow-soft memory foam ear pads that are not only sublimely comfortable but also help to cancel out unwanted noise and improve the overall audio experience. The only one thing I would say is that the headphones tend to slip forward in positioning every now and again and with no manual way to ‘lock’ position this can’t be changed, but quite honestly it’s easily forgotten about. Aside from its comfort, it was the technology within the headphones that impressed me the most.
One of my particular bug bearers with wireless headphones is the battery life, however thanks its built-in smart sensors once you remove the set from your ears the music pauses meaning you don’t miss a second of the song and saves the battery in addition. Putting them back on you are, thankfully, not greeted with a blast of music as the song fades back in creating a truly enjoyable experience. In addition, it’s Bluetooth technology works up to 100m away from your device and with Dual mics enabling HD voice communication you can take calls away from the device with crystal clear clarity.
Presented in a sleek black presentation case and a canvas carry bag the Plantronics BackBeat SENSE not only look the part with the flat-folding capabilities but provide seamless wireless-cable transformation and remain comfortable throughout use in various environments.
Plantronics BackBeat SENSE are available from Plantronics retailers at £129.
