“Far from being down to over-eating, my research shows that cellulite is linked to the way the lymph, the body’s own waste disposal network, performs,” Kate reveals.   

Lymph, which runs around the body just beneath the surface of the skin, and the way it moves and metabolises fluid, is at the heart of cellulite. When its sluggish fluid collects around the fat cells and this naturally shows in areas where there is more fat (like thighs and upper arms) as the build up pushes cells out of alignment causing the dimples we know as cellulite. On top of that, the fibres that hold cells in place loosen with age, worsening the surface unevenness.
