5 extravagant ways to spend your Bitcoin fortune in 2023

Here are five of the biggest ways holders of Bitcoin are doing precisely that in 2023 – no expense spared.

It’s been another turbulent year for Bitcoin so far, but that hasn’t stopped seasoned traders and investors from buying up the digital currency at rock bottom prices in the hopes that it will surge once more over the coming months. Even first-time investors are continuing to dip their toes in the water, with popular trading platforms reporting ongoing interest. The number of those keen to explore the ImmediateGP platform – a robust and secure platform that allows you to trade, chart, and analysis different cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin – has remained steady, and other providers are reporting similar, so it seems that our collective Bitcoin fever isn’t beginning to wane just yet, no matter how volatile the most recent market fluctuations happen to have been.

One of the reasons for it is likely to be the growing acceptance of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a means of payment, particularly in the world of luxury. From high-end travel to lavish supercars and designer goods, it’s now possible to splurge your crypto-fortune on a whole host of exciting products and services. Here are five of the biggest ways holders of Bitcoin are doing precisely that in 2023 – no expense spared.

Luxury real estate

It was bound to happen eventually, and now, it finally has. It’s finally possible to splash out not just on high-end goods and services using Bitcoin, but on property, too, with luxury real estate emerging as one of the most popular ways to spend the digital asset, as well as popular alt-coins like Ethereum, this year.

From sprawling mansions to exclusive penthouses, there are now a number of real estate agencies and property developers accepting Bitcoin as a means of payment – which means that the savvy investors out there can now leverage the profits of their digital assets to make solid investments in something that is often perceived to be a safer long term bet.

Exquisite jewellery and designer watches

Hublot, Chronoswiss and Richard Mille are just some of the luxury watch brands that now accept Bitcoin in exchange for their prestigious timepieces, and now, a growing number of jewellery makers and brands are following suit.

From exquisite diamond earrings to breath-taking engagement rings to make sure your proposal is as memorable as it should be, many jewellers are now partnering with third-party payment processors to make purchasing their opulent goods more accessible for cryptocurrency holders, and it’s a move that couldn’t have come soon enough.

Lavish supercars

Elon musk’s electric vehicle company, Tesla, paved the way for wider acceptance of Bitcoin, Ethereum and the like when it became the first luxury car brand to do so in 2021, and since then, we’ve seen big names like the renowned French car manufacturer Bugatti, as well as Croatian electric hypercar maker Rimac Automobili, also make the transition. We’re still waiting for plenty of others, like Ferrari, Lamborghini and the other automobile brands that are so synonymous with luxury – but hopefully it won’t be long until they embrace crypto as a means of payment, too.

Luxury travel

A more recent development is Bitcoin’s acceptance in the travel industry. Although the likes of Air Baltic and Alternative Airlines got the ball rolling several years ago by allowing affluent customers to book their flights using crypto, others have been slow to adopt such alternative means of payment. But with Virgin Galactic – Richard Branson’s innovative space travel company – going all in on crypto payments to cater to its billionaire customers, it likely won’t be long before Virgin Atlantic and other mainstream airlines do the same.

We’re also seeing some movement in other areas of travel, with several Maldives resorts now allowing bookings to be made using Bitcoin. The Soneva brand was one of the first, with the Huvafen Fushi and White Harp Beach Resort and Spa joining it in doing so – and now that travel companies like Travala have begun to offer complete travel packages paid for in Bitcoin, it could soon be the norm to put all your travel expenses on a crypt card.

The arrival of cryptocurrency has transformed the art world, and in 2023, there are numerous online platforms where original paintings, sculptures and artifacts can be bought with the help of Bitcoin. From the classic to the contemporary, art is now more accessible than ever to crypto holders, and because the blockchain technology that underpins these digital assets can be used to authenticate one-of-a-kind pieces and facilitate secure transactions, it has also now become one of the safest ways to make large investments in collectors items such as these.
