Esteemed Indian restaurant and Bib Gourmand, Pahli Hill, is opening its doors for an unconventional New Year’s Eve celebration for those who prefer to stray from set menus.

Sticking to their popular a la carte menu this New Year, Pahli Hill’s dishes draw from all corners of India to deliver a bold and flavoursome menu that celebrates the diversity of this majestic subcontinent. Not just a restaurant, Bandra Bhai is the cocktail bar located underneath Pahli Hill which evokes a bygone era when drinking was not allowed, but always encouraged.

Divided into small plates, tandoor and grill, big plates and sides, chef Avinash Shashidhara, who has worked with masters such as Claude Bosi (Hibiscus) and Ruth Rogers (The River Cafe) combines seasonal British produce with Indian flavours to create a perfectly balanced menu which pays homage to his greatest food influences –  the UK and India.

From steamed Dorset mussels with coconut cream to tandoori Cornish monkfish with saffron yoghurt as well as chargrilled Cornish lamb rump with crispy curry leaves and mint and home style chicken curry with star anise, stone flower and fennel – produce from the UK’s land and sea are perfectly married with the robust and exotic flavours of South Asia.
