Stacey, who owns Jentz Male Grooming on Maxwelton Avenue, East Kilbride, says: “This cut’s great for professionals on the go and looks good no matter how you wear it. It’s also brilliant for the shorter man as it can add extra height to his appearance. If you’ve got finer hair then you may struggle with this haircut. Typically, a medium-to-thick head of hair works best for this style.”

With regards to styling this cut, Stacey suggests that the hair at the front of your head should be no shorter than three inches. However, with longer hair, the Glaswegian says, “extra length creates added texture and allows you to style a higher pomp with a different look.”

Like every classic style, there is a degree of maintenance that comes with this cut. “You will need to apply a product before blow drying,” says Stacey.

“I suggest using a mousse whilst damp, before blow drying the hair with either a Denman or vent brush for extra height and movement.

“After this, hair fibres and powders are great to for some instant texture. But, for a more natural finish, I recommend using The Bluebeards Revenge’s matt clay. Lastly, finish the whole look off with a light men’s hairspray for more hold.”

To maintain this look, visit your barber every four to six weeks.
