Gara Rock, situated on the stunning South Devon coastline, has been completely updated with a spa, cinema and much more. We headed to Devon to take a closer look.

Once a set of coastguard cottages and now a stylish clifftop retreat with luxurious suites and spa, Gara Rock sits on the secluded South Devon coast and is blessed with stunning sea views and access to a beautiful beach below.

Kick back in the private cinema, completely relax in the heated outdoor pool, sip on a cocktail while watching the sun set over the sea before retiring to your sumptuous suite – the perfect coastal escape awaits.

Situated across the water from Salcombe and hugging unspoiled coastline, Gara Rock features five new loft rooms, three luxurious suites and six spacious rooms, four with sea view, and in addition to the above amenities, a restaurant, meeting room, indoor pool, spa bath and spa treatment rooms. Gara Rock will also offer Land Rover transfers from the ferry to and from Salcombe when visiting the restaurant and bar.

Gara Rock is a key landmark on the South West Coastal formerly the site featuring cottages for the coastguards. The coastguards were employed in the 19th century to prevent any illegal smuggling on the remote coastline and used The Lookout to scour the open seas, protect the coastline and watch for any boats in difficulty. Today Gara Rock is where walkers often stop off to enjoy a hot chocolate in winter and sundowners in summer as the sun sets across the water.
