Hollywood is heralding the thread lift as the 30 minute facelift and it’s become hugely popular in the star-struck hills of Hollywood. In 2015, Gwyneth Paltrow dubbed it the ‘under the radar approach’ to anti-ageing.
With plenty of experience in aesthetic and skincare treatments, backed up by a DDS degree from Madrid University, Dr. Pamela Benito knows a thing or two about skincare procedures. Today, Dr. Pamela is telling us five reasons thread lifts are Hollywood’s biggest secret.
They’re more discreet than other procedures
when you’re in the limelight with the paparazzi waiting around the hospital or clinic corner, it can be impossible to hide the after effects of some procedures. Bruising from face lifts. A slightly frozen face which simply cannot deny having had a dose of Botox. A thread lift, on the other hand, is a non-surgical procedure, which lifts the skin, without reducing movement in the face. It has a subtle and natural effect and doesn’t scream, ‘I’ve had cosmetic surgery!’
They can get right back on set
A thread lift takes 30-60 minutes from start to finish and rarely has any after effects, like bruising or puffiness. Hollywood A-listers can literally have it done in their lunch break and be back on set for take two.
It works better with the camera
Lighting and camera techniques can emphasise cosmetic procedures such as Botox, adding shine where there was already shine. How many times have you looked at a Hollywood actor and known instantly that they’ve been under the needle? Because a thread lift does nothing more than work with the face’s own skin, it’s much more sympathetic to the glare of the camera.
