Grado Labs has launched The White Headphone, a special edition of its top-of-the-range SR325e Prestige Series headphone. The White Headphone will be available in very limited quantities, the company said today.
Hand-built in Grado Labs’ headquarters in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, The White Headphone is said to “embody the brand’s approach to sound”.
Its brushed aluminium housing dampens distortion, while the 8 conductor cable exerts control in the upper and lower ranges of the frequency spectrum to support Grado’s renowned midrange.
The headphone’s 1960s-inspired styling has been given a modern twist courtesy of the clean white accenting on the ear cups, which pop strongly against the black ear pads and contrast-stitched top-grain leather headband.
Grado Labs President and CEO John Grado said: “Inspired by one of our family’s favourite records, The White Headphone by Grado commemorates the power that an album – or even just a single song – may have on a person’s life.”
The White Headphone will be available from August 2019, priced at £795, inc VAT.
