By LLM Reporters   |

The bigger the better the brow, and that trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, it has well and truly replaced the skinny or pencil thin brows which saturated the 90s beauty industry. Yes, some lucky people are blessed with thick and full eyebrows but unfortunately the rest of us suffer from thin eyebrows which don’t serve a shape. You might be tempted to grab hold of the permanent marker to perfect your brows but step away – there is a difference between grooming your eyebrows and creating a beauty fail.

So just how can we get thick brows naturally? You can always fill in the sparse areas or make them appear thicker using brow gels but if you are after natural and long-lasting brows, you have come to the right place.

1.) Vaseline

In order for any hair to grow, it needs to be encouraged which means skin needs to be hydrated and nourished. Vaseline is known to create a sealing barrier which locks in moisture and helps to speed up your skin’s natural recovery process. All you need to do is clean and dry the area and apply Vaseline over your brows three to four times a day.

2.) Oil it up

Oil promotes hair growth by creating a barrier that locks in moisture. Oil also increase circulation whilst stimulating cellular metabolism which promotes hair growth. Apply on your brows before you go to bed and let it work its magic. Any oil can be used, olive oil, coconut oil or even jojoba oil will do the trick.

3.) Put down the tweezer

If you’re constantly plucking, you are diminishing any chances of your brows fully growing and in fact this creates ingrown hairs. Damaging your hair follicles eternally will prevent hair from ever growing back. Let your brows grow out for a few weeks (it’s hard but worth it) and you will see the difference to how many grow back once you stop disrupting the natural growth cycle.

4.) Genius soap

If you are plagued with bald patches in your brows you can aimlessly reach for your brow pencil or try this soap hack. Wet the spoolie brush and scrub it against a bar of soap, a translucent one is best, until the product has lathered around the bristles. Then swipe the spoolie through your brows to shape them how you want and once the soap is dry your brows will be set making it easy for you to fill and hairs to grow in the right direction.

5.) Milk

Milk is believed to be good for hair growth as it contains many essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients. For optimum results soak a cotton ball into ¼ of whole milk and massage it on for 15 minutes then wash with water, repeat daily for maximum hair growth.

6.) Brushing your hairs

Brushing your eyebrow hairs has a lot of benefits. It can help to stimulate the blood capillaries which increases the blood circulation and transportation of nutrients and oxygen to the stem, root and bulb of the hair. Even if you don’t think you have enough hairs there, by doing this daily it can make a big difference.

7.) The right nutrients

If your diet is lacking in vitamins or nutrients that are key to retain a healthy diet, then this could be a contributor to your lack of hair growth in your eyebrows. Try to keep your diet rich in Vitamin B, omega-3s, iron, protein and zinc. Also ensure that your water intake is high so that your hair growth is optimum.
