We caught up with Tara Dollinger, leading model, philanthropist, and yogi instructor. Tara also oversees the Dollinger Family Foundation, which contributes to a variety of causes. She currently lives in a Bel Air mansion alongside her husband, real estate developer David Dollinger.
My car of choice
My car of choice is any Rolls Royce. I am obsessed with the coach doors. They’re unique, cool, and they automatically close with a push of a button. Going to dinner and it starts raining? No worries, another button will eject an umbrella from the door. They really thought of everything! The level of comfort in the Rolls Royce is unmatched! It is the ultimate driving experience in my opinion. The spirit of ecstasy turns heads everywhere she goes.
My favourite holiday destination
This has to be beautiful Bora Bora. My husband took me there on our first trip as a couple and we recently went back a second time because we loved it so much! There is nothing on this earth like the crystal-clear waters there, we could swim and snorkel right outside our bungalow patio deck and we were joined by a plethora of vibrant fish. A truly magical experience!
My gadget I can’t live without
Without a shadow of a doubt it’s my Apple iPhone, I’m on it more than I’d like to admit. I just purchased one for my grandma so we could Facetime from opposite coasts. It doesn’t matter where you are in the world, you can still feel connected and productive as long as you have this mighty little gadget.
My go to fashion brand
This is hard to choose! I ascribe to many different fashion houses and I use different designers depending on my mood and the occasion. I love attending Paris and Milan fashion weeks, it’s a great excuse to add exquisite pieces to my collection. Buying is a whole other experience — designers make it fun and those fashion weeks are packed with events and parties. My all-time favourite memory is when I got to witness J.LO wear her iconic green dress for the Versace show.
My airline of choice
Emirates. I love flying in their first-class cabin. What’s not to love? A pop-up vanity with all your favorite skin care products and doors that close on your personal area for privacy. It makes traveling long distances a lot more enjoyable.
My favourite watch brand
My favourite jewellery is from Chopard. I attended the Cannes Film Festival and fell in love with a Chopard watch. My husband later gifted me the ultimate version of it! It pairs well with glam red carpet looks or can spruce up a casual jeans and t-shirt outfit. That watch always brings a smile to my face – from the memories of Cannes to my husband’s thoughtful nature.
My favourite restaurant
My go-to restaurant in Los Angeles is Nobu Malibu. The sushi is incredible and the ambience is perfect for date-night. There is something so romantic about sitting on the patio and watching the sunset.
My guilty pleasure
This has to be a frozen caramel chocolate square and coffee for breakfast. It’s something I look forward to and indulge in every single morning!
My favourite way to give back
My favourite way to give back is by doing hands-on work. Growing up, my family spent Thanksgivings volunteering at a homeless shelter. There is nothing more rewarding to me than knowing I’ve made a positive impact in someone’s life.
