This year’s Southampton International Boat Show (taking place from September 10th to 19th) welcomes some fantastic debuts, from the first UK reveal of the stunning Sunseeker 88 Yacht and 65 Sport Yacht, and further show debuts of the Sunseeker all-new Predator 55 EVO(tm), Manhattan 55, and Predator 74 XPS, to the world premiere of the Salona 46 sailing yacht, and to affordable inflatables with the Riber 322 iSUP.

“We’re delighted that so many brands have chosen Southampton International Boat Show as the venue for their UK or world debuts,” says British Marine CEO Lesley Robinson. “It endorses our importance and standing in the world of international boat shows with manufacturers choosing the UK and Southampton as their key launch platform.”

Represented by Ancasta International Boat Sales, luxury power and sail brands Sanlorenzo, Beneteau Power and Lagoon Catamarans are making UK and show debuts with the 27-metre Sanlorenzo SX88. Powered by three Volvo IPS1050-800HP engines, the SX88 has a fast-cruising speed of 18-20 knots, with a maximum speed of 23 knots. Also new at the show is the Beneteau Gran Turismo 41 and the Beneteau Gran Turismo 36.

This year sees several UK and show debuts for electric powered craft including the brand-new Whisper 300 from Swallow Yachts. With green credentials a priority, the Whisper 300 is made entirely from wood and bio resins. The efficient lightweight hull is powered by two 70HP outboard engines and is ideally suited to electric conversion. The Whisper 300 features sustainably sourced cork decking, solar panels and a rainwater capturing and filtering system to feed the onboard water tank.

Also making her UK show debut is the Pulse 63 electric RIB from RS Electric Boats. This fully customisable RIB is manufactured in the UK using sustainable materials and is powered by 100% electric emission free propulsion.

From the jet ski world, there’s the first chance to see the new Belassi Burrasca marine hypercraft from Jet Ski UK, alongside several new models from Yamaha including the Yamaha Super Jet with its high performance 1049 cc four-stroke TR-1 engine. Yamaha is also showing new boats from its Yamarin and Buster brands, with the UK debut of the aluminium Buster XXL V MAX Edition, complete with Yamaha V Max 150 SHO outboard engine, its max speed of 44 knots making it the ideal craft for water-skiing and other on water entertainment.

With many people looking for compact craft which are easy to transport, or to store in a beach hut or garden shed, the Explorer Dinghy Highlander Boat fits the bill. Capable of carrying up to three adults, this compact boat can be rowed, or powered by a 3.5 hp outboard or electric engine, and splits into two ‘nesting’ sections for easy storage and transport. Also ideal as a tender or for sailing, rowing or with an engine, Evans Boatwork will be launching its brand new 4.6m lightweight multi-purpose dinghy at the show.
