Set to make it’s North American launch at this year’s Monterey Auto Week is the new 16 MY Bentley Continental GT which will feature at the event alongside some of Bentley’s most inspiring models. Ranging from the iconic 1930 Blower Bentley which will make an exciting appearance in the Quail Rally.

Bentley are set to display the iconic 1930 Bentley Blower at the Monterey Auto Week Quail Rally.
1930 Bentley Blower will feature at the Quail Rally.

As the week comes to a close Bentley will demonstrate their future vision ; the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept, a  vision of iconic Bentley design cues fused with progressive craftsmanship techniques to showcase modern British luxury.

“The new Continental GT is a testament to Bentley trademarks of luxury and performance and we’re excited to share it with friends of Bentley during this gathering of fine automobiles.” – Michael Winkler, President and CEO, Bentley Motors, Inc.

The Continental GT has had a face lift with amendments to the front bumper and radiator shell at the front whilst the rear has a reshaped and widened bumper completed with the addition of 20″ and 21” wheels. The exterior aesthetics certainly appear to give a sense of power and importance asserting the Continential’s authority in the motoring ladder.

Paired looking powerful it has the machinery under the hood to go with it with a mighty 6.0-litre twin turbo W12 powertrain; with this power the model’s reputation of effortless performance is upheld . Add in improved fuel economy (5% on the previous model) and lower CO2 emissions and there’s even more reason to appreciate the intricate upgrade the Bentley team have made.

When the doors open eyes wander to the new contemporary straight-fluting pattern emblazoned across all four seats whilst the Mulliner Driving Specification (standard on GT Speed) gains a tightened, “small-diamond” quilting pattern reminiscent of your favourite quilted ‘British Countryside’ jacket. Whats not to like?

Featuring throughout Monterey Auto Week Bentley will also display it’s dynamic 1930 Bentley Blower at the Quail Rally, the flagship Mulsanne Speed, 2016 Flying Spur and the EXP 10 Speed 6 whilst to compliment the new Continental GT Bentley will also feature the Continental GT’s  extreme family member the GT3 R.
