Following the DB10 launch at the end of 2014 Aston Martin have revealed they will be celebrating the launch of Spectre with a limited DB9 GT Bond Edition with just 150 models available worldwide.
Built on the foundations of providing world-class grand touring and and built excellence, the DB9 GT Bond Edition boasts an intricate and delicately designed trim and additional equipment and accessories to make it that extra bit luxurious.
The body work oozes silver elegance and grace accompanied by black diamond turned 20-inch alloy wheels, aluminium detailing on the bonnet vents and grey brake callipers. Under the ‘Spectre Silver’ body paint and discreet 007 Bond Edition exterior badging, the DB9 roars with a 6.0 Litre V12-engine capable of generating 547 PS at 6750 rpm, and 620 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The proven rear mid-mounted Touchtronic II six-speed transmission with electronic shift-by-wire control system ensures from rest it can reach 62 mph in 4.5 seconds, with a top speed of 183 mph.
Inside Aston Martin have increased the awareness of the ‘Bond effect’ with gun barrel embroidery on the rear seat divider and a special edition Bond start-up screen on the new model’s AMi II touch-sensitive Aston Martin infotainment system. Bond really would approve.
Alongside the models’ features DB9 GT Bond Edition accessories also accompany the launch. Presented in a finely-crafted 21” Globe-Trotter trolley case finished with an embossed leather luggage tag, the collector’s car also includes an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m James Bond Limited Edition watch complete with a unique Aston Martin strap.
Over half a century has passed for the Bond and Aston Martin relationship as both parties continue to strive forward to new display levels of luxury and elegance, the DB9 GT Bond Edition will definitely not disappoint the 150 lucky owners.
The DB9 GT Bond Edition is available to order in markets across the world from 03/09/15 and priced at £165,000.
