BMW have announced an all-new BMW X1 featuring dynamic BMW X styling, blending efficiency with innovative features to elevate comfort, safety and infotainment.

The X1 features a new range of engines and gearboxes alongside an ultra-efficient xDrive all-wheel-drive system with one petrol engine and three diesel options offered.

A defining kidney-grille, three-section lower air intake and it’s characteristic “four-eyed” look are just some of the key features of the X1.  All lines include 18-inch light-alloy wheels in their own specific design, exclusive door sill plates and an LED lighting package with vicinity and door handle lights, ambient lighting with variable use of colours and LED optical fibres in the door panel trim.

When adding personalisation it all comes down to the aesthetics and the options available on the X1 are pretty impressive including 2 non-metallic and 11 metallic paint finishes, with the Estoril Blue metallic shade an exclusive option for the M Sport model. Inside dependent on model type various colour combinations are available including high-gloss strips, leather trims and wood adding the ‘you’ to each option.

A notable change in height, an increase of 53mm, in the X1 helps to create a more spacious interior, typical of a Sports Activity Vehicle. Continuing inside, the X1 balances out the need for driver focus and practical beauty with the instrument panels and centre console controls angled and centred for ease and accessibility improving overall drivability.

BMW X1 undergoes re-design.
The BMW X1 second generation is designed to increase versatility and comfort culminating in increased vehicle agility and passenger comfort.

Under the hood the 2.0 -litre displacement engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology across all four options accentuates the new found agility and ride comfort created by the chassis changes culminating in the typical sport BMW driving experience you would expect of a BMW. Taking into account all of the powertrain components combined with the BMW lightweight technology and far-reached aerodynamic optimisation the new generation X1 has advanced significantly in efficiency with up to 17% lower fuel consumption and emissions.

New technological advancements and options include Navigation through the iDrive Control Display, Variable Sports Steering, M Sport suspension, DSC stability system and the Dynamic Damper Control system all of which aim to to increase driver satisfaction.  As expected the X1 combines all of it’s technology to be both versatile both in driving ability and it’s comfort from the interior, coping with various terrains and environments providing the ultimate level of comfort throughout.

BMW have taken their highly popular x1 first generation model and have tweaked it subtly yet impressively to show not only their brand development on both the technological and design front but also to satisfy their customers on a personal level.

Prices start for the new generation X1 start from £26,780 which will be on sale from 24th October 2015.
