People’s love of automobiles has been bringing people together for decades now. Motor shows are traditionally some of the biggest events in the car industry as they attract millions of people from around the globe and, while they are hosted all over the world, some of the finest and most interesting locations to go to for a car show are based right here on the European continent.

Frankfurt Motor Show
As any car enthusiast knows, Frankfurt Motor Show is the king of all car shows. This annual car-extravaganza is actually called Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung and has been divided into two parts since 1991. Commercial vehicles are shown in Hanover (on even numbered years) and passenger vehicles are always in display in Frankfurt (on odd numbered years). Frankfurt Motor Show dates back to the late 1800s which is why it has grown to be one of the biggest and best car shows on the planet today.
Goodwood Festival Of Speed
You can enjoy cars closer to home than you think with Goodwood Festival. It’s held every year in West Sussex and is always shield in the warm summer months of June or July. The three day festival attracts crowds of more than 200,000 people and is located on the grounds of the Goodwood estate, which has important ties with the automobile industry.
Paris Motor Show
Paris is not only a fabulous destination for a city break, it’s also home to the Paris Motor Show which is an important part of Paris’ calendar. The Paris Motor Show was actually the first auto show in the world and has become a massively important event at which car designers from around the world get to show case their latest concept models. Since being held first in 1898, the show has run every other year.
International Geneva Motor Show
Geneva is sometimes referred to the meeting place of the world and the International Geneva Motor Show is one of the most important meetings of them all. During March each year, the Palexpo convention complex becomes home to hundreds of thousands of car buffs and vehicle industry officials. This show is a great way to see all the latest offerings from the world’s car makers and also hosts debuts models.
European Motor Show, Belgium
Over a period of 10 days, the European Motor Show held in Brussels attracts over 700,000 people and was first held in 1902. It specialises in showing Light Commercial Vehicles, Motorcycles and Recreational Vehicles. Interestingly, auto spares, motor parts and other car services are available on site too.
