Guaranteed to appeal to SUV and sportscar enthusiasts alike, this powerful new model is capable of an incredible 3.8 second 0-62mph sprint, thanks to its 600PS, twin-turbo V8 TFSI engine delivering a hefty 800Nm of torque between 2,200 and 4,500 rpm. It can hit 124mph in just 13.7 seconds too – aligning it with some of the world’s most famous sports cars. The bi-turbo plant draws on a mild-hybrid system (MHEV) which can recover up to 12 kW of power and store it in the compact lithium-ion battery, and also has the potential to reduce fuel consumption by as much as 0.8 liters per 100 kilometers.
This exciting model’s power is delivered with a delicious roar thanks to its 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 ignition sequence enhanced by the RS sport exhaust system with black tailpipe trims fitted as standard to Carbon Black and Vorsprung models. The driver can choose to amp up the engine’s sound even more via the Audi drive select system.
The RS Q8 promises an exceptional dynamic drive too, thanks to an impressive tech-spec which includes highlights such as RS-specific adaptive air suspension, all-wheel steering, sport differential and active roll stabilisation. The Audi drive select system affects such things as engine and transmission management, steering boost, the air suspension, all-wheel steering, engine sound and the characteristic of the automatic air conditioning.
