Iced Caramel Macchiato
This first iced coffee recipe is a favourite that just about every coffee lover will love – and comes with an added sweetness that makes it feel like a bit of a treat that can be served in lieu of ice cream.
Ingredients
Caramel sauce
Vanilla Syrup
Espresso
Ice
Milk
Method
Squirt some vanilla syrup into the bottom of the glass, then fill with plenty of ice cubes to around the half-way mark – or more, if you want to make it extra cold.
Next, simply pour in the milk until the glass is almost full, then slowly pour in one shot of espresso. Finish by drizzling caramel sauce on top, and enjoy!
Mexican Cold Brew
This cold coffee recipe is popular because it combines a variety of appealing flavours, including cinnamon, coffee, and vanilla – and it couldn’t be easier to make.
Ingredients
Vanilla extract
Almond extract
Cinnamon stick
Ground coffee
Water
Cloves
Method
In a mason jar, mix the cinnamon sticks, coffee, cloves, and water. Cover the jar and give it a good shake, then refrigerate for around 24 to 48 hours.
Once it’s ready, strain the mixture into a glass, filling to around the halfway mark, then top up with milk or water. Add vanilla and almond and a good handful of ice for the most luxurious results.
Iced Vanilla Latte
This flavourful, refreshing, and strongly brewed cold coffee is everything you need to get through the day and all those endless Zoom meetings on working-from-home days, and goes down just as nicely relaxing outside by the pool.
Ingredients
Freshly brewed espresso
Soy milk or cream
Vanilla syrup
Whipped cream
Caramel sauce
Method
Fill a glass with ice cubes to the halfway point. Then, pour in a shot of vanilla syrup and top up to the ¾ point with soy milk.
Stir, then slowly pour in one shot of espresso. Stir again, then top the glass with a swirl of whipped cream and drizzle with caramel sauce to finish. It really doesn’t get more decadent than this!
Iced coffee drinks are a refreshing, energizing, and flavourful choice that’s just perfect for the summer months – and with a few added extras, can become just the kind of decadent treat you need to get you through the day. While there’s no replacement for that first sip of hot, freshly brewed coffee in the mornings, it’s the perfect choice for daytime enjoyment, and a great way to impress your guests at summer garden parties.
