Múzsa at Four Seasons Gresham Palace, Budapest
Imbuing the glamour and elegance of Budapest’s golden age, Múzsa introduces a new lobby lounge concept to Four Seasons Gresham Palace, designed by world-renowned design specialists, Richmond International. Fusing the building’s rich past with the needs of today’s sophisticated clientele, this diverse new space is convivial in nature and welcomes social interaction, offering a main reception, private concierge club and expansive bar areas.
The journey through Múzsa was considered in meticulous detail, with each moment offering a distinctly different mise-en-scène which surprises and delights. A deep reverence for the heritage of the building sees Richmond adopt a modern, yet sympathetic take on Secessionist interior motifs and colour combinations, seamlessly blending past, present, and future to create one timeless experience.
Lyaness at Sea Containers London
Located within iconic South Bank design hotel, Sea Containers London, Lyaness is the brainchild of legendary mixologist Ryan Chetiyawardana (Mr Lyan) and team. Opened in 2019, Lyaness was designed by Lore Group creative director Jacu Strauss, who focused on emphasising the theatre of the bar and its incredible views across the Thames and the city of London when reimagining the space.
The colour palette within the bar is a mixture of pale blues and soft greys used in the lounge furniture and seating areas, echoing the comfort and elegance of the 1920s – with a hint of 1970’s retro. The space features blue and bronze mirrored tables, as well as a striking deep-tufted banquette, which sits upon a stage with octagonal mirrored lighting, to reflect the room in its entirety; as well as a sweeping green marble bar.
Silver Lyan at Riggs Washington DC
Occupying a prominent corner within the capital’s thriving Penn Quarter neighbourhood, Riggs Washington DC opened in February last year and sits within a historic building that was once home to Riggs National Bank (known as the ‘bank of presidents’). Nestled within the bank building’s former vault is original cocktail bar, Silver Lyan – from Ryan Chetiyawardana (Mr Lyan) and team.
With a concept that plays on the history of cultural exchange in America, this subterranean space provides an intimate feel with the main bar housed in the original bank vault and a secret room in a more private bank vault. Designed by Lore Group’s creative director Jacu Strauss, the original vault walls, floors and ceilings remain intact, softened by dark colours and rich fabrics.
Pulitzer’s Bar at Pulitzer Amsterdam
Set within Amsterdam’s iconic five-star hotel Pulitzer Amsterdam, Pulitzer’s Bar is a timeless hotel bar with a truly elegant look and atmosphere. A part of the Lore Group portfolio, Pulitzer’s Bar was designed by Jacu Strauss when the property underwent a quintessentially Dutch redesign in August 2016. Complete with an impressive Art Deco style bar, sumptuous furnishings including soft leather armchairs and dark colours; Pulitzer’s Bar is a chic space where guests can relax for hours.
