Cocktail of the week: Elderflower & Earl Grey Fizz

By LLM Reporters   |

It’s fair to say that this is a cocktail of dual character: feminine and elegant, yet zesty and punchy, it is one of West London’s favourite cocktail offerings. Featuring the instantly recognizable Early Grey aromas of bergamot orange, lemon and grapefruit, topped up simply with soda’s fizz and energy, it is cool, clean and classical.

No.11 Pimlico Road’s Elderflower and Earl Grey Fizz particularly befits its stylish surroundings – both inside amongst No.11’s sleek interiors and furnishings; and outside, where Pimlico’s stylish townhouses and boutique shops are abundant.

If you’re looking for a new tipple to enjoy with friends over a light lunch, afternoon tea or alongside some crisp canapes, this is the cocktail for you.

Elderflower & Earl Grey Fizz

This light and refreshing gin fizz provides a sweet but dry flavor, complemented by zingy citrus notes. The Elderflower & Earl Grey Fizz recipe is as simple as it is delicious. Read on and find out for yourself!

Ingredients
35ml Earl Grey infused Tanqueray
25ml Lemon juice
15ml Elderflower cordial
15ml Simple syrup (one part unrefined sugar to one part water, stirred at room temperature until dissolved)
Soda to top

Method
Shake up the Earl Grey infused Tanqueray, lemon juice, Elderflower cordial and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Pour leisurely over ice in a cut glass highball, and strain soda over to fill to the top. Garnish with two folded lemon wheels & mint sprig.

For a festive feel, dust the mint spring with icing sugar.
