In honour of Cinco de Mayo, STK London (located on the ground floor of the swanky ME London Hotel) has mixed up a fiery Mexican cocktail – the Picante Passion, made with the popular Mexican ingredients lime, chillies and of course tequila!
To get the fiesta fully underway in the restaurant and bar, the Picante Passion cocktail will be paired with a complimentary shot of tequila for just £14. Running throughout the whole of May, there’s no excuse to miss out on the heat, flavour and fun.
Here is how to make one at home.
Picante Passion
Ingredients
2 oz. El Jimador tequila
0.75oz fresh lime juice
0.5 oz simple syrup
4 watermelon cubes
1 slice red chilli pepper
Ingredients
Muddle the red chili and watermelon. Add the tequila, lime and syrup. Shake and strain on the rocks in a tajin-rimmed glass.
Cinco de Mayo – or the fifth of May – commemorates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867).
