The celebrated Mittermeier Tauberhase vineyards in fairytale Franconia wine region in Bavaria –Germany offered us their privileged bouquet, Limited Edition Tauberhase 2006 South African Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon. The Mittermeier family owns vineyards in South Africa’s Cape Wine Region and this jewel was an inspiration from that celebrated region. Superbly rich tannins lend strength to leather finish, vanilla, violets and burnt driftwood aromas, the deep berry and fruit cassis flavors exhilarating us totally.

2007 DOLC DE L’OBAC LIMITED EDITION BOUTIQUE GRENACHE – CABERNET SAUVIGNON – SYRAH – SPAIN
This outstanding robust, powerful, handsome and whole-bodied red took over our sensory sensitivities with magical aplomb. Well tanned leather (raw hide), smoked cigar, truffles and sandalwood hints were pronounced. Further on, flavors of deep oak, clove and pepper worked their intensity. A lingering musk unfolded on the back palate.

2011 VINTAGE COOLANGATTA ESTATE TANNAT – AUSTRALIA
From this ex-convicts’ cottages’ located winery in the Southern Highlands, the voluptuous 2007 Tannat presents black berries and smoky notes and a slight acidic thrill edged on with a mild cheddar finish. This rare and exciting grape varietal adds fervor to medium bodied enjoyment.
