The popular Dine & Donate event series has returned to Plymouth’s Barbican Kitchen this month, in support of the Children’s Hospice South West. Diners to the Devon-based brasserie will be able to choose from a high quality set menu, whilst having the opportunity to donate to one of the South West most notable children’s charities.
Now in its second year at Barbican Kitchen, owners and chefs Chris and James Tanner are long-term supporters of the charity and this year’s Dine & Donate event raised an impressive £2,125. Running from January 5th to February 28th in 2017, diners will be spoilt for choice, with a two and three course set menu available for both lunch and dinner. Donations envelopes with be provided for contributions.
Throughout 2016 CHSW has been celebrating 25 years since its founding, the local charity provides hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West. It has three hospices, including Little Bridge House in North Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset and Little Harbour in mid Cornwall. The care provided by the charity is wide ranging, from respite and short breaks, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care.
Chris Tanner, Owner and Chef, Barbican Kitchen said: “Dine & Donate 2016 was a big success, with diners helping to raise over £2,000, and we are proud to be continuing in our support for Children’s Hospice South West and for one of the most important forms of care in the region. As the only organisation in the South West to offer much-needed specialist care for both children and their families, we hope our diners will help us to raise even more money for the charity, making next year our best yet!”
