English wine producer Denbies celebrates 30 years of winemaking in the Surrey Hills and invites visitors to explore ‘The vineyard through the seasons’.
Thirty years after the White family blazed a trail with the first vineyard plantings on the beautiful Surrey Hills, Denbies Wine Estate is introducing a brand new feature style film to its guided tours experience that welcomes over 350,000 people each year.
Commissioned to celebrate the anniversary of the first plantings on the estate, ‘The Vineyard through the seasons’ offers visitors a unique insight into the workings of an English vineyard. Over a year in the making, this brand new feature-style film follows life on the 265-acre estate and captures its transformation, from bud-burst to harvest. Visitors will be able to catch a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes all year round in Denbies vineyard and makes it such a very special place to visit.
Denbies pioneered wine tourism in the UK and has worked tirelessly over the last three decades to raise awareness of the incredible potential of wines ‘made in England’. It continues to invest in new facilities to share its work and passion with the 350,000 visitors that come to the estate every year. Today it is the largest single estate wine producer in England and continues to innovate with new grape varieties in its vineyard and new wine styles in its state-of-the-art winery.
CEO Chris White said: “We are proud to celebrate 30 years of winemaking at Denbies. Our new film has been commissioned to help us share the beauty of our land and our passion for English terroir with the many visitors who come to the estate every year. We want them to understand how special it is to drink world-class wines made on their doorstep.”
A special screening of ‘The Vineyard through the seasons’ will be included in all indoor and outdoor tours from April 19th. Visitors will enjoy a glass of Denbies’ award-winning sparkling wine during the screening in the estate’s brand new audio visual theatre.
Denbies Wine Estate is located just one hour from London in Dorking, Surrey. In addition to a full programme of activities and daily guided tours, Denbies also has an ‘open door’ policy allowing visitors to stroll around the estate and enjoy the beauty of the site. Remarkable conservation work and sustainable environmental practices make Denbies a fantastic place to explore for nature lovers. Denbies is open 362 days a year (closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day).
