Launching officially on 1st July, Foley’s will be serving up a diverse range of modern world dishes inspired by the spice trail.
After the success of ‘Foley’s Tasting Kitchen’, a six-week pop-up under a railway arch in Shepherds Bush earlier this year, the team are opening a permanent restaurant in Fitzrovia.
The menu will bring a selection of eclectic flavour combinations from around the globe. The kitchen will be headed by Mitz Vora, previously Sous Chef at The Palomar. Fraser Bashford who has recently joined the team from his position as Junior Sous at Dabbous will support Mitz.
Situated on Foley Street, the 70 cover restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and will be set over 2 floors with an alfresco coffee bar and an open kitchen with bar seating in the basement. The open kitchen will enable the chefs to communicate and entertain the guests whilst giving guests a view of the action.
There will be a queuing counter where walk in customers can enjoy a drink and snack whilst they wait to be seated at the kitchen bar.
Some of the favourites from the Tasting Kitchen will return to the menu. These include; the ‘Cornflake-crusted Chicken with Pickled Mushrooms, Corn, Endive and Chorizo’ and the ‘Sticky Beef with Daikon Cucumber Som Tam, Avocado & Kaffir Lime Puree and crispy Shallots’.
Mitz and his team will be adding brand new dishes and constantly evolving the menu through the year – guests can expect the likes of ‘Nori wrapped Tuna with compressed Nashi Pear, Shiitake, Edamame, seaweed, Yuzu Mayo and tapioca’ and ‘Tandoori Lamb Rump and Confit Belly with Tzatziki, Pickled Cauliflower, Almonds, Chutney and pita’. Desserts will include; ‘The Fatboy Elvis – warm Chocolate Chip Banana Cake, Banana Cream, Peanut Honeycomb, Bacon Crack and Strawberry Jam’ and a selection of homemade ice cream including ‘Spiced Milk Chocolate Gelato with Hazelnut Brittle’
The food menu will be paired with a well considered wine list. The cocktail menu will focus on exciting twists on world classics. These will include ‘The Basil Foley’ and a ‘Chai Old Fashioned’.
