The Vineyard has been described as a temple to Californian wine. Located just outside of Newbury in Berkshire, this establishment certainly deserves its reputation as one of the UK’s leading wine hotels.
The cellar holds more than 30,000 wines from both the New and Old Worlds, as well as the unique and award-winning estate wines of the owner, Sir Peter Michael.
The hotel’s motto is ‘Eat. Sleep. And drink wine’ and our cameras recently explored this wonderful five-star hotel.
Upon arrival a large painting dedicated to the Judgement of Paris wine event greets guests just after a two floor wine vault.
We explored the award-winning kitchen with hopes for a Michelin star under head chef Robby Jenks, we visited a selection of the 49-bedrooms with REN products, observed the restaurant which was awarded 3 AA Rosettes and took a relaxing dip in the five-bubble spa and indoor swimming pool. Not forgetting the very unique wine cellar which houses all of those delicious bottles of wine.
