Legendary Shoreditch venue McQueen is launching a brand new steak restaurant, boasting a menu specially created by former Hawksmoor Head Chef Richard Sandiford.
Richard James, who is also ex-Hawksmoor, will be Head Chef at the new restaurant.
The Grill at McQueen will open this October with Sandiford set to play an integral consultancy role, encompassing everything from devising the dishes to training the kitchen team.
He said: “I’m really excited to be part of this new venture at McQueen, and have created a menu that highlights the very best of the seasonal produce in the UK.
“Each ingredient comes from suppliers that I have worked with over the years, and all are locally sourced – the bread for example, comes from just around the corner at The Dusty Knuckle Bakery in Hackney. Guests can expect some really special cuts of meat at The Grill.”
Taking its name from the iconic Hollywood star, The Grill at McQueen will take its cues from across the pond, with diners set to choose from an extensive selection of steaks.
A strong variety of wines, bourbons and other whiskeys will also be available, with flights of each lining up alongside a list of punchy cocktails.
The Grill at McQueen seats 50 covers and will offer reservations during lunch and dinner service.
The new restaurant will open with a soft launch period from Tuesday 18th October to Saturday 22nd October, during which guests will be able to enjoy 50% off their bill. Prospective diners can sign up to the restaurant’s mailing list at the website below to receive information on the soft launch.
The Grill at McQueen will officially open to the public on Tuesday 25th October.
