To celebrate Fashion Week 2019, The Lowell is launching an exclusive new fashion-inspired afternoon tea, available to guests and visitors alike, from 4th – 15th September in the hotel’s glamorous, newly refurbished Pembroke Room.
Coco’s Haute Couture Afternoon Tea pays tribute to one of fashion’s most memorable and iconic personalities, Coco Chanel.
Guests will enjoy a glass of either Nicolas Feuillatte Rosé Brut Champagne or Le Vie En Rose Cream of Rose Champagne Cocktail as well as Camellia-infused tea, a nod to the designer’s favourite flower.
This will be paired with delicious cookies, shaped as whimsical fashion garments, including the iconic Boucle Jacket Cookie, CC Logo Cookie and 2:55 Matelassé Purse Cookie.
Homemade scones with cream, lemon curd, orange marmalade and wild rose preserve are also included, alongside three tiers of sweet and savoury treats.
These include a Pistachio Eclair, Seasonal Macaroon, Lemon Tart and Crunchy Chocolate Mousse and a selection of seasonal sandwiches such as Smoked Salmon and Caviar on Pumpernickel Bread, Old Bay Lobster Salad on Brioche and Cucumber, Lemon-Chive Butter on Multigrain.
As a parting gift, guests will go home with the Pocket Coco Chanel Wisdom book, which includes many of her famous quotes such as “You live but once; you might as well be amusing.”
