Feast is truly a feast for all the senses; the ambiance is welcoming, the lighting just perfect for a great meal and engaging conversation. An interactive all-day dining restaurant, Feast, located just off the main hotel lobby, overlooks the lively Tea Lounge and the magnificent ballroom staircase in Le Meridien.
What works for this restaurant is the vibrant energy one feels while dining here and the buffet section with live cooking is inviting. Three walls of windows create a grandeur feel with an abundance of natural light, while offering guests views of the surrounding activity in the hotel.
The ambiance has a very international look and feel to it what with the relaxing influence of the natural wood tones, warm lighting, crystal chandeliers, contemporary touches and soothing green and beige velvet upholstered chairs.
“Feast has seen an excellent response from the time we threw open its doors, it has something for everyone’s palate, our expert Chefs have created a well balanced menu that caters to diverse tastes,” says Jaswinder Narang, General Manager at Le Meridien, Pune.
An interactive all-day dining restaurant with a lively, fun and family-friendly atmosphere, offering a global spread of buffet and an extensive a la carte menu featuring European, Indian, Asian and Arabic cuisine, Feast is a popular place to dine while in Pune. An interactive experience led by Executive Chef Nader Shaikh and his skilful culinary team at the live cooking stations and an extensive selection of buffet and a la carte items makes a visit to Feast worthwhile.
I tried the fresh and flavorful Watermelon and Feta Cheese Salad (Traditional Greek cheese along with watermelon chunks with lemon vinaigrette), Subz Biryani (Basmati rice cooked with herbs, aromatic spices and seasonal vegetables), Kadhai Jhinga (Prawns in spicy tomato gravy finished with roasted coriander) and the Palak Paneer (Soft cottage cheese chunks cooked in ginger garlic and spinach gravy) during my recent visit to this fine dining restaurant.
The extensive menu is complemented by an equally elaborate wine selection, in fact Le Meridien is the first hotel in Pune to introduce and encourage the wine drinking culture in the city. Zaitooni Jhinga (Tiger prawns marinated in olive oil, yoghurt and yellow chilli), Khoa and Anjeer ke Kofte (Cottage cheese dumpling stuffed with fig and nuts served in tomato gravy infused with fresh cream) and Steamed Seabass (With crisp hijiki vegetable salad, apple and soy) are signature and must try preparations from the menu.
I ended a fabulous meal with Pistabhari Gulab Jamun Pista (stuffed fried dumpling dipped in sugar syrup and the paan and rose ice cream) served in Feast. The appetizing food, the amazing ambiance is complemented by efficient and polite service offered by well trained and friendly staff. Definitely a must visit for those who enjoy a great meal served in a luxurious ambiance.
