I am a huge fan of STK. The steakhouse’s unique blend of fine dining meets chic sexiness is my go-to restaurant of choice; the food never disappoints and nine times out of ten, I have thoroughly enjoyed dancing on the tables (quite literally) towards the end of my night!
With a whopping 18 restaurants globally, I’ve been lucky enough to visit their New York, London, Vegas and most recently Dubai restaurants; which for me, has to be my most favourite yet!
Set on the infamous ‘The Walk’ in JBR the celebrity hotspot boasts all the glitz and glamour you would expect both from Dubai and the brands DNA.
Upon entering, were greeted by the gorgeous hostess who showed us to our cream leather booth, surrounded by blossom trees (which I kind of wanted to take home)! The DJ had just started spinning some amazing tunes on the decks, making us super chilled but ready for a fun night.
After being seated, Brian, our waiter for the night introduced himself in his New York twang. Brian explained that he had been transferred from the States across to Dubai, to see the smooth opening of the restaurant, which to me is super impressive and explains how STK seem to get it spot-on time and time again, it’s not just about the food and dining experience, but about the brand, and how there needs to be a signature style no matter where in the world you are.
My husband and I began with a cocktail. Being a gin lover, I chose the gilded gun, which in all honestly, was the nicest cocktail I have ever had! If it wasn’t for the fact I knew I’d have to get up early with my baby the following morning, I could have drunk ten and inevitably dancing on the table ON MY OWN!
We started off with the infamous STK brioche, which I had to literally stop eating as I didn’t want to ruin all the scrumptious food we had to come, followed by the scallop carpaccio which was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely amazing – each mouthful offered a different explosion of texture and taste.
We then followed this with a mini slider each, teamed with a Californian Red, Black Horse.
However, my favourite dish for the evening has to be the main course of filet steak with a side of mac and cheese made topped with three different cheeses, cheddar, smoked cheddar and goats cheese, as well as a side of broccoli and thrice cooked parmesan chips! Everything about each of the dishes was cooked to perfection, and I literally ate and savored every last minute of it.
With full yet happy tummies Brian convinced us to share the mango cheesecake, which I am sooo pleased he did! Yet again, the presentation was out of this world and even though we both vowed we were totally full, we ate the whole lot!
I couldn’t recommend STK Dubai enough. So, if you’re looking for an elegant fine dining experience without the formality but instead chic sexiness then you really ought to get booking!
