The London Steakhouse Company Chelsea celebrate their tenth birthday

By Georgie Bentley-Buckle   |

West London’s favourite neighbourhood steak restaurant, London Steakhouse Chelsea has recently celebrated ten years of blushing cuts. Specialising in offering diners the finest quality steak in its smart, white clothed setting – the group was founded by James Ogilvie Robertson in partnership with renowned chef Marco Pierre White.

Executing a straight forward and high-quality menu without complications, London Steakhouse has a commitment to ensure a truly British ‘prim and proper’ experience withheld by tradition and a personal touch. Consciously sourced from Royal Warrant and master butcher Aubrey Allen, each cut is specially selected and aged to London Steakhouse’s exact specifications. It may not be obvious from their name, but with an all-inclusive ethos for all who visit, their menus also feature a selection of fresh fish, vegetarian and vegan dishes, each given an equal amount of love and attention as the front row steak options.

Paying homage to ten years, the restaurant has proudly launched a limited edition menu that runs throughout the month of September. Showcasing a collection of their most favourite dishes that have featured over the last decade, diners can book themselves in this month and enjoy starter options including burrata salad with purple fig, crispy pork belly croquettes with apple gel or a Caesar salad with prawns.

Main dishes steal the show – choose from a 24oz Porterhouse for two served with a choice of homemade sauces, spatchcock poussin, artichoke & truffle ravioli with parmesan & fresh herbs, fish of the day and a summer squash risotto to perfectly round off the summer season in the city. Equally as indulgent, desserts on this limited menu include an impressive sticky toffee pudding, pistachio & chocolate, crème brûlée or home-made soft serve vanilla ice cream.

With the prestige of having been established by world renowned celebrity chef Marco Pierre White, with two sites – one in Chelsea and the other in the City of London, London Steakhouse Company discreetly has become one of London’s most popular specialist steak restaurant groups.

Founder James Ogilvie Robertson worked closely with Marco Pierre White at Titanic, Drones and Quo Vadis and it was here James was appointed by Marco as one of the youngest general managers ever.

Alongside James’ wife Rachael Ogilvie Robertson, their second site in Chelsea opened ten years ago in September 2009. Recently Marco stepped back to concentrate on other projects while remaining as a long-standing advisor, partner and friend and James and Rachel took control of the business.
