With lockdown 2.0 upon us, it’s never been a more important time to pay attention to our personal wellbeing, and this includes regularly moving our bodies. Whilst we wrap up and stay indoors, many of us may be lacking in the inspiration of where to turn next. This is where Karve step in, a new luxury fitness brand born in lockdown who have just launched their On Demand programme – here to help us transition back to our virtual at-home workouts this winter.
Challenging our endurance levels as a studio class would whilst offering us all some welcomed guidance with our at-home wellbeing routines, Karve On Demand pioneers the hot new ‘Transformer Pilates’ method they have created ‘to transform both the body and the mind’. Cleverly adapted online to safely support our at-home wellbeing goals whilst offering a sneak peek of what is to come in their studio and on their bespoke spring-loaded machines later this year, the launch of this On Demand subscription means we can all sweat and sculpt at home with minimum equipment and maximum results.
Targeting specific areas of the body, their library of signature high-intensity, low-impact workouts cover abs, legs, upper body, cardio burn workouts and more across pre-burn, burn and post-burn with their endorphin fuelled stretching and meditation sessions for that all-important mindfulness to finish.
With their studio opening in west London later this year on Kensington High Street, their new transformer Pilates classes are predicted to be 2021’s hottest new workout for both guys and girls. Why’s this? According to ClassPass, machine-based Pilates workouts have increased by 39 per cent over the last year as many of us now seek efficient workouts that will see results faster. This is where KARVE’s workout enters the fitness game, the new-style fitness brand that has been personally developed by Karve’s founder Yulia Pashevkina who decided to launch the studio and online brand having been inspired by the driven, motivated and fun attitude of the New York fitness scene.
A new endurance-based method with Pilates at its core that Yulia created after she spent years in search of a workout that would exercise both the body and the mind, Karve will be a place that captures New York’s infectious energy, tailored to London lifestyles. With the lights turned low, and the music cranked high, exhilarating beats will pulsate from their luxury loft-style studio that will be partnered with the studio’s signature spring-loaded machines that have been designed to be gentle on the joints. With each Transformer Pilates class building slow-twitch muscle fibres to increase body strength and drive the metabolism, expect to follow a sequence of resistance-based, mindful movements that are amplified to ensure transformational results: hence they called it Transformer Pilates.
Bringing with him his American energy from across the pond to London, head trainer Craig Waters will work closely with each of his clients. A firm believer in mind over matter, he encourages each person he works with to leave any personal doubt at the door, shining a spotlight on the importance of mindset and how this determines the outcome. Revolving his classes around this ingenious method that can also be applied to the outside world, Karve clients will learn the secret to setting and sticking to personal goals.
