Poppy Duffree, founder of Bristol-based Organised Interiors, which works UK-wide, says she offers clients the opportunity to enjoy their house move.
“Moving into a new home should be exciting and enjoyable, but for many people it’s often stressful, tiring and chaotic,” said Poppy, who once moved 16 times in 10 years.
“Take a moment and imagine this – you pack a suitcase for a mini-break, you go away and have a lovely relaxing holiday with your family and when you come back, you return to your new home. What are you met with? You’re met with a beautifully organised house, with systems for maintaining this in the future. The beds are made, there’s milk in the fridge and the only thing you have to unpack is your suitcase.”
Poppy, a professional home organiser, carries out an in-depth pre-move consultation, including a visit to the new property, so she gets to understand the homeowner’s lifestyle, preferences, priorities and personal vision.
Her team oversee the removal company on move day, then unpack all the boxes and set up home, according to the client’s wishes, ready for their return. They even remove boxes and packaging.
Properties are given the ‘show home’ look and the Organised Interiors team put organising systems in place to make the new home run like clockwork.
“We provide that ‘finished’ look so clients get the ‘wow’ factor when walking into their new home,” said Poppy.
“We ensure their home is purposeful, peaceful and guest-ready. We make sure that the home is set up correctly the first time around, with clear systems and structures in place, avoiding weeks, or months, of partially unpacked boxes and numerous changes to get the space to work. Clients are given a tour of their new home and are presented with a personalised new home guide that covers each space and details what is stored where.
Fees for the bespoke home move service depend on a number of factors, including the size of the home. There are optional extras such as a pre-move declutter, where unused or unwanted items are removed before the move, and an ultimate presentation package, where Organised Interiors source organising products that work for the new home, such as labelled food containers, storage cabinets, shelf organisers, storage baskets and so on to ensure that ‘show home’ look is achieved.
