Founder Catherine Cunningham grew up on a farm in the heart of County Antrim, Northern Ireland and after leaving school trained as a nurse at Guy¹s Hospital, London. She returned home to Northern Ireland in 1992 and married Andrew, a conservationist. They live on a farm with their family of free-spirited teenagers and various free-range animals. As well as farming, they have spent over 20 years growing and planting trees and have created beautiful woodlands of native Irish trees. Catherine was also a mosaic artist for several years and produced artwork for private commissions. With ‘The Present Tree’ business Catherine combines her passion for trees and ancient heritage with her love of beautiful design to create an eco friendly, memorable gift.
