GDS Development, a New York-based, multi–disciplinary design / development firm, has announced the launch of its luxury condominium project at 25 MERCER.
Partners Michael Kirchmann and Alan Rudikoff of GDS Development are restoring two historic cast iron structures that date back to 1867, creating a limited collection of beautifully designed home in the heart of SoHo, New York. The two mixed-use properties at 25-27 Mercer Street are currently being transformed into one high-end condo development on one of the most fabled cobblestone streets in New York City. The five-story building will take the name, and address, 25 MERCER.
“The concept was to honor the building’s historic architecture while also modernizing it with custom kitchens, imported finishes and beautiful natural materials”, says Kirchmann.
The building offers five exquisite residences, ranging from townhouse, to lofts, to penthouse in the Soho Cast-Iron Historic District. The expansive homes will have ceiling heights of up to 13 feet with fireplaces, a keyed elevator and private lobbies on each floor. Three of the homes will include expansive outdoor spaces including a large garden courtyard, and multiple roof terraces.
The property is being marketed and sold by New York super-brokers, Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes, who continue to be the number one real estate agents in Manhattan.
“Our project at 25 Mercer is as much about design as it is about quality. We are a modern interpretation of historic design, on one of the most picturesque streets in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the world. This one is special, it is quintessentially SoHo,” says Gomes.
Sales for the luxury condominiums are now open, for more information visit, 25mercer.com.
