Casinos have long been seen as playgrounds for the rich and famous, and with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth high rollers from across the globe flocking to the likes of Las Vegas, Macau and Singapore to play in some of the most glamorous venues, it certainly seems to ring true.

As for celebrities, they aren’t quite such a common spot, with many seeking out more discrete ways to get their night at the roulette or poker table. With such instantly recognisable faces and high-profile status’, it’s perhaps little wonder that more film stars, musical artists and other well-known stars are looking to online casinos like Xoslot to indulge in their favourite games – with the ability to play anonymously from anywhere meaning apps and platforms like these fit in seamlessly with even the busiest celebrity’s jet-setting lifestyle.

Nevertheless, there are a select few stars who simply won’t settle for anything less than the real thing, and some of them take their casino gaming so seriously that they have achieved professional player status.

From Brad Pitt to Paris Hilton, these celebrities have varying degrees of experience and ability in our favourite casino table games – but one thing they all have in common is their passion for playing and winning big.

Almost everyone has seen Brad Pitt enjoying a night at the casino – as Rusty Ryan in 2001 box office hit, Ocean’s Eleven, that is. But few people know that he is also a fan of roulette, poker and other popular table games in real life, too, having taken them up in preparation for the role and quickly developing a passion for his new hobby.

In 2015, a Chinese casino reportedly paid an eye-watering $70 million for a 15-minute advert directed by Hollywood heavyweight Martin Scorsese and starring Pitt alongside Robert de Niro and Leonardo Di Caprio, with the actors scooping a cool $13 million each for the job. Whilst it has never been confirmed whether or not this was true, if so then it seems Pitt’s hobby has become a lucrative one for him in more ways than one.

Hollywood A-lister Ben Affleck isn’t just partial to the occasional late night casino visit – in fact, he’s actually a rather accomplished poker player and has made millions of dollars in winnings from playing against some of the world’s biggest high rollers over recent years.

The star, who recently confirmed his engagement to ex-wife and fellow celebrity J-Lo – otherwise known as Jennifer Lopez – was reportedly spotted at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas only this summer after filming scenes for an upcoming film at the nearby Palazzo, although it isn’t known whether he ended the night triumphant.

It might surprise you to know that Jennifer, who counts blockbuster hits including Chucky and Monsters Inc. amongst her most famous jobs, isn’t just an occasional casino visitor, but a professional poker player. Having inherited a love for the game from her father, who also played professionally in his heyday, she has played in a number of high-profile tournaments, with her biggest known win thought to be a World Series of Poker bracelet. Add to that the $159,000 she scooped in the Vegas Ladies’ No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament after beating off stiff competition from 600 other players, and suffice it to say that she certainly seems to have perfected her poker face.

Matt Damon

Famed for big screen movies including the Bourne films, Matt Damon is no stranger to a slice of the limelight, but his excellent poker and blackjack skills have won him an extra dose of attention at the casino. Thought to be a professional player who has already recorded some pretty impressive wins, he is also said to have developed a passion for the pursuit when preparing for his upcoming role in Rounders.

So skilled is Damon in the poker stakes that he has even played in the World Poker Series alongside other celebrity big hitters like Edward Norton. Pretty impressive stuff.

Paris Hilton

Hotel heiress and former socialite Paris Hilton has been spotted in Vegas many times over the years, and is said to enjoy the occasional trip to the casino. On those occasions, it seems she isn’t shy when it comes to putting her money where her mouth is, as she was once rumoured to have spent more than $30,000 in a night in celebration of her 31st birthday – and she is also thought to have scooped several notable wins, one of which was around the $50,000 mark.
