This week’s fragrance of the week was actually launched in May 2015 but I’ve only recently had the opportunity to see (or smell) what all the fuss is about.
BOSS Bottled Oud certainly represents what I would describe as a luxurious, high-quality release. Hugo Boss rarely develop a below par fragrance and this one certainly hits the spot. It also contains 100% natural oud, which is a highly prized Middle Eastern ingredient often referred to as ‘black gold’.
The marketing spill reads: “Unapologetically masculine with a touch of pure luxury. Powerfully opulent, symbolic and authoritative, Boss Bottled Oud is a true blend of craftsmanship.”
The scent can best be described as masculine with a touch of luxury. It’s intense and opulent, symbolic and refined. It opens with fresh notes of citruses and apple. The heart includes saffron, clove, cinnamon and labdanum, while the oriental – wooy based features intensive oud, sandalwood and cypriola.
Boss Bottled Oud is an exciting male fragrance that is distinctive and very commanding. It builds on the success of the classic and much-loved Boss Bottled fragrance. A definite winner in my book.
