Inspired by the perfume practices of King Louis X IV, the 1667 range is the ultimate expression of luxe living and style. Fragrance folklore speaks of how, so enamoured with perfume, Louis XIV had a scentcreated for every day of the week as well as his own fragrance to rinse his clothes in.
The palace at Versaille was famously perfumed throughout, from the perfumed fountain to the furniture – even visitors were sprayed on arrival – leading the French court to be christened ‘la cour parfumeé’ – the perfumed court.
The luxury fragrances in the 1667 range pay homage to this era and the practice of scenting the body and the home as one. The range uses many of the traditional ingredients found in the compositions of the time, all finished with a modern twist.
