Known for her work on various modeling campaigns, dancing, as well as her fitness, sports and philanthropic work, Shannon is truly a one-of-a-kind success story.
Having graduated from high school and university early, Shannon knew from the young age that she wanted to explore the world. At the age of 16, she moved out on her own to New York City to pursue her career as a model. Having worked many odd jobs in the city to get by, Shannon finally got her big break when she was cast as a model for an international GUESS campaign.
From their Shannon took off and began traveling around the world, modeling and creating a presence for herself on social media. With over 110,000K Instagram followers, Shannon is a fierce advocate for body positivity, self-love, as well as health and wellness.
We had the opportunity to sit down with Shannon to talk about her love for style and fashion.
How would you describe your style?
My style depends on my mood for sure. You can often find me in something comfortable and casual, but I love a great heel!
Which one item from your wardrobe couldn’t you live without?
My Gianvito Rossi black scrappy sandals.
What are your current wardrobe staples?
T-shirt dresses, black denim jacket, and thigh-high boots.
Who inspires your style the most? (celebrity, family member, etc.)
Hailey Baldwin; she does casual so well, but I inherited my love for heels from my mom.
If you had to live with only a capsule wardrobe containing ten key pieces, what would they be, and why?
Black pumps, T-shirt dress, thigh-high boots, little black dress, leather jacket, evening gown (because you never know) denim jacket, my favorite Guess jeans, my Celine tote, and a pair of sunglasses. My personality type is both very efficient and practical, so I figure this covers all bases.
Have you had any fashion disasters over the years?
This might qualify as a fashion disaster… During my first runway show ever, as I was walking down the runway, my strapless dress practically made its way down to my waist! So for me, in my first ever show, it was my first disaster!
Where do you like to shop?
My go-to stores are Guess, Topshop, Zara, Intermix, and Nordstrom. I’m a shoe girl and my favorites are Gianvito Rossi, Guiseppe Zanotti, and Valentino.
What is your favourite trend at the moment?
Oversized jackets.
How has your style evolved since you started out in the blogging world?
I’ve tried taking more risks and have been adding more colors. I realized one day when looking in my closet that 70% of my clothes were black.
What is the best piece of fashion advice you have ever been given?
Keep it classy.
