Summer Crosley is an international supermodel and starred in the hit US TV series Californication. She’s graced the pages of GQ, Esquire, Vogue, Elle, and many other leading high-fashion magazines the world over.
But Summer is much more than just a pretty face, a model with that perfect toned body. When she is not modeling or acting, Summer devotes her life to saving the planet by supporting environmentally friendly causes such as Ocean life Conservation to help protect our beautiful ocean life and help keep our beaches clean and free from pollution.
And yet there is still another reason to love Summer, her casual but super stylish approach to how she dresses. Luxury Lifestyle Magazine style and fashion editor Melanie Kruger had the recent opportunity to sit down with Summer to discuss how she keeps looking her very best and on trend.
How would you describe your style?
I am a very simple and down to earth girl. Casual and comfortable. A cute shirt, skirt, flat shoes and a great bag and shades.
Which one item from your wardrobe couldn’t you live without?
My vintage Chanel jacket. Timeless and Classic. I love items that never go out of style.
What are your current wardrobe staples?
Yves Saint Laurant crossbody bags, black skinny jean, booties, t-shirt for day time. Night time, I love a form fitting knee length black off the shoulder dress.
Who inspires your style the most? (celebrity, family member, etc.)
My mother, she sends me inspirational life quotes every week, she is such a positive person and having that positive energy in my life is a blessing.
If you had to live with only a capsule wardrobe containing ten key pieces, what would they be, and why?
Flat knee high boots, two long sleeve bodysuits, two pairs of jeans, one pair of shorts, flat slip on shoes, a black moto jacket, denim skirt and t-shirt. Between these 10 items I think I can form both spring, summer, fall and winter fashion.
Have you had any fashion disasters over the years?
Ummm probably my hair style in grade school.
Where do you like to shop?
Shopbop.com and Nordstrom. They have so many options of designers.
What is your favourite trend at the moment?
Over the knee boots.
How has your style evolved since you started out in the blogging world?
Instead of quantity where I had so many clothes I was running out of space, I have downgraded into quality and timeless and classic pieces.
What is the best piece of fashion advice you have ever been given?
To keep it simple. Not to flashy, or wanting to stand out to much. Not to over accessorize.
