We caught up with Anh Pham, the high-end bubble tea entrepreneur. Anh opened her first premium bubble tea room, Paeonia, in the royal borough of Windsor in October and it has already been such a success that negotiations are already underway for a second site, this time in west London, with plans to have five venues throughout Berkshire and the capital by the end of 2022. She’s also had interest in opening a Paeonia in Paris.
My car of choice
I currently drive a Porsche Cayenne, which I love. To me, Porsche have married together European luxury, versatile practicality and German sports car DNA in the Cayenne. It’s also elegant and functional – which makes me enjoy this car so much.
My favourite holiday destination
Italy has my heart. Lake Como is my favourite holiday destination out of anywhere in the entire world. Everyone always talks about Bellagio when it comes to Como, but that’s only because they haven’t been to Varenna, which, to me, has an unpretentious charm with its picturesque and romantic waterfront.
My gadget I can’t live without
There are two. Firstly, my iPhone. I am always working on the go and it’s the best way to keep touch with my family, who don’t live in the UK. Second is NuFace – a microcurrent facial toning device that lifts and tones my skin – an essential part of my daily routine.
My go to fashion brand
Handbags and lingerie are my two weaknesses. If I have to choose one handbag brand, it’s Chanel, for elegance and timelessness. I love lingerie by Agent Provocateur and La Perla. Being well-dressed is important to me and when you are, you feel more confident.
My airline of choice
That’s simple: Vietnam Airlines – as I support my national airline. Everything about them is first class. I work in hospitality and food quality is important to me, including on a flight. Whenever I fly with Vietnam Airlines I feel at home with their amazing food and luxurious selection of amenities to keep me pampered all flight long.
My favourite watch brand
Without doubt, Cartier. My Ballon Bleu with 18K rose gold case and 123 diamonds was a gift from my father – and I love it so much. Tag Heuer is my everyday wear as it’s both bold yet timeless, feminine yet strong, robust yet refined.
My favourite restaurant
As a foodie, I love to try out restaurants and you will often find me at Scott’s Mayfair. When it comes to Japanese cuisine, I adore Umu Mayfair, and Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester when craving French cuisine. Their menu with wine flights is to die for.
My guilty pleasure
I have several but if I had to name one it would be bubble tea, as I am obsessed with it! That’s one of the reasons why Paeonia, my premium bubble tea room, was born, as I can have it every time I want and share my guilty pleasure with the discerning residents of Windsor.
My favourite way to give back
Every season, I go through my wardrobe and donate the unwanted clothes to charity. By donating my unwanted clothes, I think it helps fight landfill, reduce demand for resource-hungry new clothes and have a real impact in making fashion more sustainable as well as let my clothes be loved all over again.
