We caught up with the super successful entrepreneur and investor, Matt Haycox.
My car of choice
Ferrari 458. I just love this car, mostly because it’s its fast and bright yellow. I think I’d love any car in bright yellow, but especially this one and it’s something I’d always wanted and bought about two years ago. I’m a huge fan.
My favourite holiday destination
I’m a bit of a creature of habit, and I’ve spent a lot of time in the States over the years. For me, from both a relaxing and partying perspective, Vegas ticks so many boxes for me and it holds a lot of sentimental value to me as I lived there for a few years. It’s somewhere I always look forward to returning to.
My gadget I can’t live without
A bit boring I know, but definitely my iPhone. It never leaves my side! I always need to be on the phone, email and staying connected in some way shape or form and this makes it so easy to do so. It’s definitely my money making gadget of choice.
My go to fashion brand
I am very, very simple with my clothes. I’m a blue jeans and white tee shirt kind of guy. If I had to pick a brand it would be Denham – I wear their jeans all the time.
My airline of choice
I’m a big fan of Virgin Atlantic. I use them all the time whenever I travel to Vegas, Miami or LA. You know exactly what you’re getting and it’s a great customer experience. It might not be considered as luxe as some of it’s competitors, but you just know what you’re getting and you always get a fantastic service and I like it very much.
My favourite watch brand
I guess that would have to be Hublot. I’ve got a very bulky white/transparent Hublot Big Bang special edition, and they’ve got some really funky watches. Definitely my favourite at the moment.
My favourite restaurant
Novikov in London. I’m a massive sushi fan, anything Asian I love. I also love Italian food and Novikov ticks both boxes as it’s an Asian restaurant in one room and an Italian in the other. They actually let me eat of both menus at the same time, so they really do tick all my boxes. It’s a fantastic restaurant and one I visit very regularly.
My guilty pleasure
Salted caramel! Anything salted caramel I love it!
My favourite way to give back: I do this via my own charity The Matt Haycox Foundation, which provides funding for children in need of life saving and life changing operations. I get involved with projects that we can really play a big part in and see some tangible results from, knowing that our money raised and donated is achieving the biggest possible impact for those who need it most.
