We caught up with Michelle Demaree, founder and CEO of Miss Diamond Ring – an international luxury jewellery concierge, serving a roster of high-net-worth clients including many celebrities. Michelle founded MDR after a decade of experience at Harry Winston, Tiffany’s and Van Cleef and Arpels where she developed a ‘PHD’ in craftsmanship and an eye for the exceptional.
My car of choice
Difficult to choose because I love cars! If I had to narrow it down I’d go with the Porsche Cayenne GTS because it’s elegant and functional and the Jaguar XK120 (in white) for my weekend drives.
My favourite holiday destination
Positano has my heart and won’t give it back! Le Sirenuse to be a bit more specific; the cobblestone pathways, beautiful vistas, private beach and refreshing limoncello have captivated me, along with one of the best hotels in Europe.
My gadget I can’t live without
Music and meditation via my iPhone gadget. It is important for me to always maintain a high energy / frequency state of happiness and love. The quickest way to get there is through listening to my favourite music and my customized hypnosis and meditations.
My go to fashion brand
YSL for handbags (I always grab the hottest new bag at Elise Walker in my Pacific Palisades backyard). Chanel has been a recent favourite for shoes and Fwrd tends to have my go to outfits for each new trend.
My airline of choice
I prefer Virgin, it is always consistent, clean and lux.
My favourite watch brand
Patek Philippe has always caught my eye with their classic heirloom designs that are perfect for every day and seem to go with everything. I love the rose gold Calatrava with a white or beige strap. Perfection.
My favourite restaurant
Georgio Baldi in Santa Monica is an incredibly romantic and exclusive Italian restaurant with an impressive wine list and the best pasta and service imaginable. Hard to get in, and always worth it!
My guilty pleasure
Give me a French rose or Napa Chardonnay paired with a delicious cheese platter and I am a happy girl. I tasted Robb Reports top rose’s this past year and my favourite rose by Gerard Bertrand was Clos du Temple – absolutely phenomenal!
My favourite way to give back
I have aligned with two causes near and dear to me and donate with every sale. The first is the WGEF (Women’s Global Empowerment Fund) which helps women in Northern Uganda escape child marriage and sets them on a path to creating their own business. The other is the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. No child should ever go hungry.
