We caught up with Rachel Hilbert, the leading American model and actress who has built herself into a household name with her artistic eye for fashion, passion for acting, and incredibly uplifting and philanthropic spirit.
Rachel is best known for being the official spokesmodel for the luxury brands PINK and Kohls, baby lines of the global lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret. The 26-year-old has already graced the covers and pages of leading magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and Elle. She also starred alongside Tommy Lee in the hit horror film, The Retaliators, at the end of 2021.
My car of choice
My car of choice is a red 1960’s Mercedes-Benz SL convertible. I have had this infatuation with vintage cars going back to my childhood. I also love a two door Jeep with the doors and roof off, there’s something so fun and free about it.
My favourite holiday destination
My favorite holiday destination is definitely Italy. This past summer, I spent a month hopping around Positano, Capri, Venice, Lipari, Sicily, Tuscany, and Florence. The history, food, culture, and service was so rich and beautiful that I didn’t want to leave.
My gadget I can’t live without
I recently got the Oura ring, with my work and everyday life, I like to monitor how my sleep is, my activity, and my ‘readiness’. It’s so accurate about everything on my health and it logs everything in your phone.
My go to fashion brand
That’s a hard one since it’s a mix of so many brands and I really love vintage shopping. This isn’t a brand but it has everything, Saks Fifth Ave. I also love basics from Zara, mixed in with some unique designer pieces. When I travel I love to collect clothing along the way, so I don’t really have a specific ‘go to’ fashion brand.
My airline of choice
Since my work requires a lot of travelling, I have travelled basically every airline you can think of. For long haul flights, I love Delta (great miles) JetBlue, Emirates, British Air and Lufthansa First Class.
My favourite watch brand
Rolexes are timeless and classic. I really love unique classic pieces that are scarce, specifically. I personally own an all gold 1954 Oyster perpetual that is in mint condition. I like the feeling of no one ever having worn it before me.
My favourite restaurant
I live in New York City, so I’ll list a few from here: Sushi by M, Lucien, Ruby’s, Lillia, La Superior, Samurai Mama, Minetta Tavern. There are so many incredible restaurants in NYC it’s hard to narrow it down.
My guilty pleasure
A delicious burger and fries with a big glass of red wine or an extra dirty martini. If there is a burger on the menu with all the fixings, I do not hesitate. I will know by the first bite if I’ll come back again.
My favourite way to give back
My favourite way to give back is by lending a helping hand to others when it comes to mental health. I am a huge advocate for mental health, having overcome my own challenges since my childhood. My plan is to continue using my platform in positive ways, telling my personal story, and to give back through charitable work and appearances.
