We caught up with leading Persian American pop singer and songwriter Shabnam Kamoii, better known as SHAB. She came out of nowhere during the Covid-19 pandemic with the post-apocalyptic video for her first single, ‘Spell On Me’, which has now been streamed millions of times.

SHAB has just unveiled this year’s hottest hit in her brand new upbeat, sensual single ‘Sexual’, as well as the announcement of her UK and Europe tour with Anastacia. ‘Sexual’ highlights feminine desire, passion, and empowerment with each beat to an addictive rhythm, promised to ignite any dance floor.

My car of choice

I already drive the perfect everyday car – a white Range Rover – but someday I might splurge on a Porsche 911 GT3.

My favourite holiday destination

Anywhere that I can be on a beautiful, desolate white sand beach and warm ocean with my guy and the kids. Tulum works!

My gadget I can’t live without

The same gadget that everyone else needs – my Apple iPhone 13.

My go to fashion brand

Gucci or Saint-Laurent. I also lately have become enamored with Bombshell sportswear, as my body tends towards muscular/curvy rather than slim/skinny.

My airline of choice

Frankly, we are never flight delayed in our Pilatus 12 NG – with my man as the pilot! Bonuses: Wi-Fi on board and the kids can co-pilot!

My favourite watch brand

My Cartier Tank Anglaise in rose gold and blinged out with the diamond bezel – it was a birthday present from my guy a couple of years ago.

My favourite restaurant

400 Gradi, an Italian restaurant in both Dallas and Melbourne.

My guilty pleasure

My only kid-friendly answer is eating gelato at the Zero Gradi gelateria in Dallas or Melbourne!

My favourite way to give back

Last year I did a benefit concert for Hope Supply Co., a charity in Dallas with which we are deeply involved and that provides for the essential needs of homeless children. You can watch it on YouTube!
