We caught up with Sope Ogunjobi, a 35 year-old finance professional who has turned her ‘eye for fashion’ into a side business. A hugely influential London-based fashion digital creator, Sope is founder of The Style Necessity Blog and is an Instagram influencer with over one million followers.
Working with famous influencers, such as Toke Makinwa, Zeynab Elhelw, Christen Dominique, Ellarie, Amanda Ensing, and Lili Mitrovic, catapulted Sope into the public eye, and ever since then she has been working hard to bring luxury fashion, style and travel to her global followers.
My car of choice
My favourite car of choice is the Rolls Royce Cullinan. I love the classic and sophisticated style which accompanies a luxurious brand like Rolls Royce. I also love how the brand has kept its signature style, but also put a spin by adding an SUV style.
My favourite holiday destination
My favourite holiday destination is the Amalfi Coast and its surrounding cities. It is one of the most beautiful destinations I have travelled to. It hints luxury, culture and delicious cuisine. The view is breath-taking – the sun glistening on the water, the historic buildings and lovely locals.
My gadget I can’t live without
My gadget I cannot live without is my phone. I love keeping in touch with friends and family, as well as keeping abreast with popular culture. Not too sure how the world previously coped without smart phones. It’s such a multipurpose gadget and that’s what makes it so useful.
My go to fashion brand
My go to fashion brand lately for evening events has been Tadashi Shoji. When I style clients, I tend to style them in Tadashi Shoji and also at times in Solace London. I love the fit of both brands, their styles are simple, elegant and sophisticated.
My airline of choice
My favourite airline of choice has to be Emirates. I love being comfortable and relaxed on flights. I also like having lots of leg room when flying, especially for long flights. I love their in-flight complimentary Wi-Fi plan which keeps you connected with what’s going on in the world whilst flying.
My favourite watch brand
My favourite watch brand is Rado. One of my favourites is the Rado Florence diamond watch. I love the sophisticated face of the watch, which makes it a very unique yet elegant piece; thus a statement piece, which can be dressed up or down depending on how its worn.
My favourite restaurant
Dining out with friends and family is one of my favourite things to do. I do not have one specific favourite restaurant, however some of my top choices include; Circolo Populare, Riding House Café and Petersham Nurseries. Although each offers a different cuisine option, each of my experiences dining in these restaurants have been memorable.
My guilty pleasure
My guilty pleasure, I must say, is chocolate. I love chocolate and one of my favourite chocolate brands is Rococo Chocolate, so many tasty options to choose from. I love all of their chocolates I have tasted thus far; however, one of my favourites are their sea salt milk chocolate thins.
My favourite way to give back
My favourite way to give back is by giving back to charity. I frequently clear out my wardrobe and any clothes I do not wear as often or might have never worn or do not intend on wearing, I give to charity. I also frequently donate to a few charities I support.
