From the comfort of your sofa to a sun lounger in the Maldives, in 2022, there’s no limit to where you can get your fix of your favourite casino games, with the likes of poker, blackjack and the like all available at your fingertips in just a few taps of your smartphone touchscreen. Over the past two years, we’ve seen online casinos and apps really come into their own as the pandemic forced millions to seek remote forms of entertainment instead.

While existing platforms like Best Paying Online Casino (https://www.bestpayingonlinecasino.co.uk) were quick to up their game in response to the unprecedented level of demand and offer improved functionality and experience, we’ve also seen some of the most iconic land-based casino names making moves into the digital space as they sought to retain their highest-rolling clients while forced to close up shop due to ongoing restrictions.

Today, online gaming is enjoying the kind of popularity it has never seen before – but now that the world has returned to some semblance of normal, can they continue to keep up with the real thing? While there’s no denying they can offer an excellent casino experience to players anywhere, anytime, some players simply can’t get enough of a night at a physical venue, with a number of the biggest casino resorts in casino capital Las Vegas reporting a dramatic spike in bookings and customer numbers over the past three months.

Playgrounds for the rich and famous – with the world’s biggest whales often turning out to place mind-blowing wagers and demonstrate the nerves of steel that got them to where they are – land-based casinos are known for their glitz and glamour, and offer the chance to get dressed up to the nines, and spend the evening feeling just like a million dollars.

In Vegas, there are many lavish casino resorts vying for the attention of returning high-rollers and thrill-seeking amateur players alike, but Caesars Palace, which is undoubtedly one of the most popular spots in Vegas, is streets ahead of the game, promising players a luxurious experience and an opulent stay to remember.

The allure of ancient Rome

Set right in the heart of the strip, at one of its busiest points, Caesars stands tall and proud, lit up with the bright lights for which the city is known. Originally built in the 1960s and having undergone an eye-wateringly expensive renovation over the years, it still expertly captures the charm and allure of ancient Rome, but with a contemporary twist, characterised by towering Greco-Roman statues and huge frescoes and mosaics throughout the property.

A pool complex modelled on the ancient Roman baths lies at the centre of the resort, with a huge shopping mall that gives a nod – in both name, and design – to The Forum that can still be seen standing just beside the Colosseum in real-life Rome today. Incidentally, the latter just so happens to be the name of Caesars’ sprawling on-site theatre, where world class acts including Elton John have been known to grace the stage.

Comprising six imposing towers that, between them, house more than 3,500 luxurious rooms and suites, there are a variety of different accommodation options to choose from, including the palatial Palace Premium Suite. Spread over an impressive 2,000 square feet, it boasts two sprawling bedrooms, a living room and dining room in an elegant grey and champagne colour palette, with a pillow-top king bed in the main bedroom area and two additional pillow-top queen beds in the connecting room.

Add to that an opulent, marble his and hers bathroom, with its huge walk-in shower, and high-end amenities like the 49-inch LED flat screen TV, MP3 charging station and a sound system, and you have all you need for a comfortable and thoroughly luxurious stay.

Nevertheless, some might say that the suites at Caesars lack the extravagance that can be found elsewhere on the strip, with in-room facilities kept fairly basic – so when it comes to the accommodation element of the resort, despite size, it might have a little catching up to do.

On the dining front, however, it’s a different story. Guests at Caesars can expect to eat like emperors at one of the 22 on-site restaurants, many of which are headed up by renowned chefs from around the world.

Some of the most notable include Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen, inspired by the TV show of the same name, and Nobu Las Vegas – an exclusive eatery where the elite come to enjoy a decadent menu of celebrated chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s creative Japanese cuisine. But perhaps the most highly sought-after of all is the Restaurant Guy Savoy, headed up by the esteemed Michelin-starred chef himself, which serves up French fine dining masterpieces along with genius wine pairings.

And then, of course, there’s the casino – which, featuring an impressive 185 table games, 1,325 slots and a luxe race sports book, is undoubtedly one of the best – and biggest – in the city. In particular, it prides itself on being one of the top destinations for sports bettors, but you’ll find all the classic casino games like roulette, craps and poker, as well as a host of new and modern games.

There’s a reason that, despite being one of Sin City’s older establishments, Caesars Palace has managed to retain a returning wealthy clientele over the years, and that’s because it knows how to curate the entire luxury experience. Accommodation, facilities, design and impeccable service all come together to promise a stay to remember, so it’s little wonder fans just can’t help but keep coming back for more.
